Spiritual Architecture & Agriculture with Viva La Vida Foundation

Stone Hunter will give participants a view of the planning and building process of numerous therapeutic and straw bale/green buildings recently build here in Paonia. He will outline some of the spiritual insights that were used in the construction of these homes as well as the practical challenges and solutions that were made to make an ideal design a real home. In the last 30 minutes he will discuss some of the agricultural techniques that Viva La Vida has been using to achieve impressive results with fruit tree propagation, pruning, and soil regeneration. There will be time for questions and discussion.

Bio: Stone Hunter grew up at Sunrise Ranch, an intentional community west of Loveland, Colorado. After attending Waldorf school and later Evergreen State College he began farming in 2014 at Happy Heart Farm, in Fort Collins, where he started his North American Biodynamic Apprenticeship. He continued and completed his apprenticeship at Sustainable Settings where he helped run a raw milk dairy, intensive grazing, natural beekeeping, vegetable cultivation and animal husbandry. Stone now lives in Paonia, Colorado where he builds straw bale, therapeutic, and green buildings with Skyhawk Construction and Viva la Vida Foundation.
