BIO:

The Sri Jis are a collective of drummer/ musicians/ travelers who are steeped in the west-African drumming tradition. They are based in Carbondale and Paonia, Colorado. Their performances are driven by songs, prayers, mantras and the roots of drumming. Audience participation in the form of song, chants, beats and dancing is strongly encouraged. The music is ceremonial and intended to induce a shamanic state of being.
